I'm just back from VOTING! As soon as I got back from taking C to school, I walked up the street (my polling place is just about six houses down from where I live), and voted. It was all very friendly, no line, I watched them put my completed ballot into the box, and now I'm wearing my "I Voted" sticker with pride. And I'm SO glad that I brought along my sample ballot that I'd filled out ahead of time. I'd never have been able to keep all those propositions straight without it! :D

::whew:: Glad it's over. At least my part in it, anyway. Now, I'm going to do my best to avoid seeing anything resembling a news report until late this evening, maybe even tomorrow morning. Too stressful. I just want to wait until it's all finished, and hear the final result.

If you haven't yet voted (and have the right and ability to do so), please make the time today to do it. If you don't intend to vote, PLEASE reconsider. Even if you don't like any of the candidates on the ballot, don't give away your chance to make your voice heard. Our government might not be perfect, but it's the only one we've got, so please do what you can to participate. Write in a vote for Mickey Mouse if you can't think of anyone else. (Of course, now all those Donald fans will be coming after me, huh? ::grin::). But do vote. It's important.
