Internet Woes

I am very, very, very angry with Earthlink right now. We didn't have Internet access for a day and a half - not because the service was down on their end, but because (apparently) something in our modem got corrupted and needed to be reset (in a way I'd never had to do before, or I'd have just done it myself), and it took phone calls with FOUR tech support people (and two promised call-backs from "advanced" support people which NEVER happened) before we got the issue fixed (and even now, it's only half-fixed; right now, the wireless network will only let us have Internet access on one computer at a time). There's a whole saga here of wretched customer service, and I just don't have the heart to go into it right now, but I'm seriously considering changing ISPs.

So, anyone have a recommendation for great, fast DSL service, with a customer service department that doesn't suck?
