This is a book with photographs of interesting and humorous signs from around the world. Most of them are unintentially funny – bad translations into English in foreign countries, for example. (Things like the “Welcome Big Nose Friends” sign in China and the “Bad Toilet” sign in Norway). Then there’s the sign in the middle of the Namibian desert which says, “Sand.” So, some of them were very amusing, and it was a quick book to read through. I received this at my BX meeting, and will offer it up again at the next one.
Also including a review that I forgot to post a few weeks ago:
40 – “Prince Caspian” by C.S. LewisI enjoyed this book, although not perhaps as much as some of the others. It was lovely to see the Pevensie children again, though, and there were some very powerful moments in this book. The ending got me all teary-eyed, too, when Peter announced what Aslan had told him and Susan. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
