Ooh! A SONG!

So, today, during our practice session, I actually played a real SONG. Two of them, come to think of it. Hang on to your hats, now, because this is exciting . . . they were:

“Hot Cross Buns” and “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” (And “Mary” sounded like crap, but whatever). I actually did play SONGS. Okay, so “Buns” has only three notes, all played on the D string, and “Mary” isn’t much more involved. But still . . . SONGS, people! SONGS! giggles

In other news, the bow hold feels comfortable now, and I’m not having too much trouble getting my fingers in the right places to make the notes – but I can tell that I need to practice more and build up callouses (sp?) on the tips of my fingers, because even as I’m typing this, they still tingle a bit. But so far, so good! C is not having quite as easy a time with the fingering, but he’s got the bow hold down pat now, so he’s making plenty of progress too, I think.

YAY for the violin!

LOL! I ROCK! ;)

Actually, though, I'm thinking that Three Blind Mice is somewhat more involved that my two, so probably, we're just about equally as awesome on our instruments. I mean, really. Hot Cross Buns only has THREE notes. (And Mary only has five). Yeah, I think you're probably still ahead. :D
