I picked this up today at the library, on a whim, because of the blurb on the front. I was further encouraged by the first line of the book:
Ask any woman who has a sister: Are you the smart one or the pretty one?
Yes, I have a sister. (I was the “smart” one). :D *winks at robingrace*
I started reading while my son was having his swimming lesson this afternoon, and then came home and finished it this evening. It was a fun book (it would have to be for me to read in basically one sitting), and it started out like fairly standard chick-lit until I realized, “hey! There’s a murder mystery going on here, isn’t there?” Two sisters (one “smart” and one “pretty”) are having some trouble keeping the family business – a coffee shop – afloat. When a flashy young woman walks in offering to help them turn things around, they have to decide just how far they’re willing to go to be successful. I enjoyed this one. 8/10.
