Better than new!

A few days ago, I finally finished refinishing (heh) my headboard, and I’m really happy with the way it turned out! It’s black now, with plum details, and I think it looks fantastic! (To see how it looked “before,” go back a couple of entries; I just posted an old photo). Plus, it’s a really good feeling to start and finish a project like this – there are too many half-finished projects hanging around this house; YAY for one that is COMPLETED! :)

Yeah, I thought so too. It was okay before, but boring. Now, it's definitely not boring, and it does match the rest of the room. (Had I decorated in purple and black before you were here to visit? Or was it still the Harry Potter bedroom then? I don't remember). :D

I don't recall how your bedroom was decorated when I was over, even though I can picture the general look of it in my mind's eye. Oh...wait...now I remember...it was still the Harry Potter bedroom. That's right...but you had just made that really soft and wonderfully comfortable comforter. Yay!

Just for laughs...do you still have my pillow?

You don't need to hold on to it if you don't want to. I really don't know when the next time I'm coming to California will be...esp. if I'm seriously considering moving to NYC.

LOL! You left your pillow here? I had completely forgotten about that, although now that you mention it, yeah . . . I do sort of remember. As to whether or not we still have it, I have no idea! Yeah, we probably do - it's probably in a closet somewhere. *facepalms*

Nice job. That looks fantastic. The black and plum are fantastic together.

Thanks! I thought they'd be great together, but I'll tell you that I had some scary moments while I was painting it. Half-way through, it looked sort of bizarre, but by the time it was done, I loved it. :)

Please, may I steal the bed?
I absolutely *love* it!

Re: Please, may I steal the bed?
Thanks! It was really not that difficult to do, either. And paint is cheap . . . :)

Well done hon! :o)

Its so nice isnt it to do something yourself like that for the home, rather than just buy it...so satisfying (although BB would def disagree with me lol)

and THANKS SO MUCH for the package, it was fabulous! i hope you've gotten your letter by now? and that it was at least somewhat helpful.

i'm scattered and weird at the moment, but once i get more settled, i hope we can (re)connect.

YAY! I'm glad the package arrived safely, and I hope you'll be able to use them! And yes! I did get the letter, and it is most definitely helpful. I've been meaning to write you about it, but haven't managed to do that yet. I'm still mulling things around in my head, but there was one line in particular that REALLY struck me . . . I'll write more offline in a day or two. But yes, definitely helpful! *hugs and thanks you back*
