Heroes

No time for a big post, but I just wanted to say:

O.

M.

G.

I watched the newest "Heroes" last night, and it was TOTALLY F*CK*NG AWESOME!!!

Possibly the best hour of television I have ever watched in my WHOLE LIFE.

I don't want to say anything spoilerish, so I won't go into the plot, but I can hardly wait to see what is going to happen next. If anyone wants to chat about the show, though, feel free to post spoilers in comments (in other words, if you haven't already watched it, you might want to avoid comments, should anyone happen to make one). :)

Oh, and I'm also totally blown away by the fact that the men in this show just KEEP GETTING HOTTER! Mohinder . . . Hiro . . . PETER!!! (OMG PETER)! I wouldn't have thought it was possible, but it happened. *collapses in a heap from the hotness*

In honor of such a totally kick-ass episode, I have a new icon. *points up*

Sure thing!

The icon is by me, from a piece of Heroes artwork by Tim Sale (the artist who actually does all of Isaac's paintings/drawings in the series).

I commented before, but then deleted because I forgot to change to my awesomeness icon!

I have to agree that Peter was way hot in this episode. Especially because of his confidence with his powers.

Yes! The scar made me sad, but Peter just go SO confident. And bad-ass. :D The thing that kinda sucks, is I'm thinking we might never know for sure how he got that scar. Since, hopefully, they'll never get to that "bad future" again. It looks like it came from a sword, but the only person with one of those is Hiro, right? WAH! I want to know, but I'm afraid we won't ever find out for certain. O_o

We were discussing the scar at work. We think it was Peter's way of atonement for blowing up NYC, killing Micah and everyone else he killed. Since he HAS regen powers, it's the only explanation we could come up with for why he had the scar.

That would definitely make sense.

Since Peter seems to choose what powers to use, I would suspect that he would be able to prevent himself from regenerating, if he chose to (unlike Claire, who's innate ability probably wouldn't allow her to do that).

The only other possibility that I can think of is that the scar was caused by someone else's power, that somehow prevents his regeneration from affecting it (perhaps somewhat similar to the Haitian's power -- much like Sylar and Peter have similar, but also very different, powers).

I like your theory best though, especially given how he obviously felt about what happened.

Peter's regen power
In this future he wouldn't have the regen powers since he hadn't gotten the message to "save the cheerleader, save the world." He would never have been in her vicinity.

Re: Peter's regen power
Hmnnnh . . . my initial reaction is "DUH! Of course that's the reason!" But . . . didn't they say that it really was Peter (not Sylar; that was just the publicity spin) who "blew up" the city? If that's the case, if he couldn't regen, he'd be dead for certain. Which leads to the question, so when, exactly, DID he meet Claire in the "bad" reality? And it couldn't have really been Sylar who blew up, since he obviously hadn't stolen Claire's power at the time of the disaster. Plot hole?

Re: Peter's regen power
I'm sketchy on the timeline, but since the whole blowing up NYC thing came up I always believed it was Peter's doing after absorbing Ted's radiation powers and being unable to control them.

When I first saw this post I had to rush by it really fast because I hadn't seen the episode yet. But I've seen it and WOW. I totally dig this show, it has got to be the best new show in years. I totally was diging on Peter, the trench coat, bad ass, *drool*. I can't wait to see how they wrap up all of the lose ends, and I really hope that they continue into next season.
