More Stuff GONE!

We got rid of a bunch more stuff this week, when the trash company had one of their thrice-yearly special pick-ups. We got rid of a lot of stuff from the backyard and the garage. Amazingly enough, I can park my CAR in there now, for the first time since I’ve lived in this house. YAY! No more scraping frost off the windows in the morning. (Which only happens about once a week in the winter, but whatever. It’s still a good thing). :)

Hmm, I suddenly find myself looking at your photos going "Damn, I wish _I_ had as cool looking stuff to be getting rid of".

And i am pretty sure that makes no sense at all.

On the strength of that, I will declare that although it is that beautiful calm pre-dawn ... thgiliwt (for want of a better word)outside, 4 am on a sunday is not a tiem to be awake. I am going back to bed.

God, if I lived near you I'd swipe that whiskey barrel planter. I want a couple of those for our back patio.

Hee! You wouldn't have wanted this one. The bottom is rotted out. I do have another one that's in good shape . . . but, um, yeah. Probably not worth driving all the way here to pick it up. :D

Wow! I was just about to post about my pitiful housekeeping efforts, but you are totally rocking the clean-out! You continue to inspire me...

You scare me sometimes. ;)

Why? I was being semi-serious. He's getting bigger. The baby tub we have will only hold him for so much longer. I could use a bigger tub. Plus, to be southern about it, I'm sure people down here actually do bathe their kids in some old stills! LOL But I didn't expect you to mail me a yard planter. *rolls eyes*

Now, back to my fave pasttime of scary the bejeebus out of W! Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Oh come on, I know that's not the way it's done in the south. You just tie your kid to an inner tub, and drag him behind a boat to get clean. Okay, so every once in a while a kid gets picked off by an alligator, but that's just the price of living in semi-tropical paradise, right?

You wouldn't have wanted this tub for D anyway - the bottom is rotted out. :D But maybe I've got something else around here that will work . . . I'll let you know. :D

That stuff wouldn't have lasted at our curb. It would've been picked up by people. There probably would've been a fight on the lawn actually. I've seen people pick up stuff in much worse condition. Our first furniture, actually, was stuff we grabbed off curbs. We still have the microwave I nabbed off the curb one block over. Works just fine.

Well, I actually tried to give away some of that stuff . . . the two tables that are visible (plus a few other things) were left out earlier in the week for the Cerebral Palsy truck . . . but the driver didn't take them. *shrugs* So, I did try to find good homes for them, but no one wanted them. :(

Is it sad that I look at that picture and think - ooooo, I'd totally trash pick that!
