Vote for Google Doodle!

This is really cool . . . Google held a contest for school children to draw a new Google logo (or "doodle"), and one of these logos will be chosen as a replacement for the usual logo on May 22. Some of the finalists' doodles are super cool. See them, and vote, here:

This is my favorite (although it was hard to choose, there are a LOT of good ones):

I'm having a really hard time deciding!

I like one of the other rainforest ones, the one where a lemur is the g--I think it makes a better overall design, though the one you've chosen is terrific too. And I like the one where the Google logo is in a pair of hands, though that makes it look a little like Google Being Given to a Grateful World by a Beneficent God. And the Jackson Pollock one. This is hard.

Ooh, I just voted, and you know what? You get to vote for one for each grade level. That makes it a little easier, though for Grades 10-12 it was still hard to vote for my rainforest one and turn down that gorgeous Gothic architectural drawing.

Oh, LOL! I responded to your other comment before reading this one. And YES! That's the exact same problem I had. I really loved the Gothic blueprint . . . but the rainforest one edged it out for me. Little furry things! Yay! :)

I know which rainforest one you mean - I voted for that one, too. You're allowed to vote for one in each category. At least I hope you are, otherwise I guess only my vote in the oldest category counts. :D (Since that's the one I did last).

But yeah, there were a ton of great designs, weren't there?

Also, looking at this design has gotten me interested in working on my Garden Alphabet again. The G with the toucan gave me a good idea. :D

Amazing work.

OT: An Obama endorsement?! *shocked*

LOL! Yeah, well it was tough deciding between him and McCain, but I decided that Obama is WAI HAWTER. Which, of course, is how American women typically choose which presidential candidate gets their vote. ;)

(You were joking, right? Because surely I never said anything that might have led anyone to believe that I might have supported Clinton. I didn't, did I)?

In any case, I did decide it was time (well past time, actually) for me to make a public endorsement. I'm thinking that at some point soon, I should start campaigning for him in some noticeable way, too. Because if he doesn't win the election in November, I am possibly going to lose what little faith I have left in the inherent integrity and goodness of the American people.

Actually I didn't think you'd want to vote for any of the top 3. I thought you'd vote for someone outside the traditional red-blue. But it's nice to know you will vote for Obama.

If Clinton got the nomination, I'd have probably voted for a third party. (Not sure whom that would be; I'm not really in the mood to vote for Nader). But I genuinely like Obama. Not even so much for any of his policy plans, but because he has vision, and he's willing to talk about things. I really think he's the sort of diplomat that this country needs to get ourselves back on track. Not that this will be an easy job for anyone . . . but I trust his integrity, which is more than I can say for just about any other politician who comes to mind.

Have I missed a post where you said why you wouldn't vote for Clinton?
