Project 365, Day 45 - Flounce

Day 45 - Flounce, originally uploaded by Here Be Dragons.

Yesterday's photo is of a skirt I made a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the way I set up the camera, you can't actually see most of the skirt, but I was feeling in a less-than-photographic mood, so I stopped after taking just three photos. (I need to be in the right mood to take a bunch of shots using the auto-timer). So, this photo is pretty darned boring, but since I only took three photos yesterday, I had to use one of them, and this was the best of the bunch. :D

I think it's kinda cool. And neato that you can sew. I used to know how, but I've forgotten a lot of it. And I don't really have the patience for all the detail work that has to happen...

I don't have patience for detail work, either. Which is why now I mostly only sew things that are really easy, or costumes. (I can get away with a serged seam instead of a real hem if it's something that will only ever be worn on Halloween). This skirt took me maybe an hour to make, start to finish. I'm the laziest sewer on the planet. :D

(Still, thanks).

That's funny. :) I could see doing costumes or something like that. The last thing I sewed was part of a pillow for this thing I'd knitted. Even that, which is arguably super-easy, was driving me bonkers. Of course, I didn't have a pattern so was making up, which probably didn't help matters...

1) Thanks, but I think you're giving me WAY too much credit. This is the easiest skirt in the world to sew. (Okay, so maybe the second-easiest; I did have to sew two colors together). Still, I'm really lazy with sewing now, so I am mostly successful based on my ability to choose really freaking simple patterns. :D

2). *giggles* I am totally in the mood to go dancing now, looking at those shoes.

That is very pretty! And I love your shoes! I wish I had the feet, ankles, and calves to wear that type but alas. :) I also wish I had the patience to learn to use a sewing machine! I'm never going to. :-p

Thanks!

These are my favorite dancing shoes. Which means I almost never wear them, since I haven't gone dancing in ages. (Seriously, I don't think I've gone dancing since I lived in Scotland. Erm, 6 years ago)? *rolls eyes* I need to find a dance partner. I really wanna go do some Argentinian tango, or salsa, or SOMETHING. I need to have more reasons to wear those shoes. :D

Thanks! :)

I just wish I had more reasons to wear them. They're my dancing shoes . . . and I haven't been dancing in at least 6 years. Lame, I know. :D
