Project 365, Day 50 - Neon Food Coloring

I've become a bit obsessed with these high-speed photos. Today, I took a bunch more using different liquids: red wine vinegar, vinegar and oil, cheap red wine (really cheap; it had a screw-on cap :D), and water with "Neon" food coloring. Today's 365 photo is one of the ones using food coloring (purple and blue).

There are a few more of my favorites added to the High-speed Flickr photo set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/herebedragons/sets/72157604993633513/

Hee, you still have that screw-cap = cheap thing there! :D

In the last five years, the Australian wine industry has moved from corks to screw-caps on all wine to prevent cork taint and help with maintaining wine consistency, and even the most expensive boutique wines now come with a screw-cap. It took a while for people to get used to it, I think, but it's the norm now.

And by the way, I LOVE your high speed photography! I think it's so exciting because it captures things in a way that you can't perceive them with the naked eye.

I love the neon food coloring one :D
I'm enjoying your pics, although it makes me miss taking pictures. The only pic I've taken for weeks is one of a finished exercise to email it to a classmate, how sad is that?

I'm sure you already know it, but have you checked the Digital Photography School blog? Lots of good tips there, I enjoy reading them :)
