Meet Pippin, soon to become a world traveler! Well, maybe not the whole world, but a big chunk of the United States. Pippin is our Traveling Teddy, part of a round robin swap on Ravelry. The idea is that everyone in the group (there are nine members) will send out a teddy bear to someone "downstream" - each person along the way will make or buy a small gift for the bear, to be put in the backpack (which I crocheted). Then the bear goes to the next person, until it comes all the way home again. Kind of like a traveling scarf, only it's . . . well, a bear. :D
Pippin will be starting his journey later this week. In the meantime, he decided to have a chat with the Buddha. :)
(BTW, fellow Ravelers, there's another traveling teddy round robin looking for members - check out the "Traveling-Teddy" group; I think the round robin is #8).
