Project 365 - Recent Craft Projects

I want to get caught up with Project 365, and also post a few extra photos. I'll do them in groups - this one features a few of the craft projects that I've finished recently.

This is a "felted" bowl I made from some Manos de Uruguay yarn (I adore these colors, and liked working with the yarn; I have more of it, in two different colorways). It started out looking sort of like a floppy hat (diameter here, about 11 inches):

After running it through a the washing machine with hot water, I shaped it inside a pan, and left it for several days to dry completely:

And here is the finished bowl (which shrunk to about 8 inches in diameter:

Here's another project, a sweater I made for Mookie (size 2 years). I think it turned out pretty cute - hopefully, it will fit her this winter:

Here are a few other projects (not 365 photos). A market bag I made, which will probably be given to one of my nieces for Christmas:

A little bag for my D&D dice (Amy, I used the rest of the yarn from the bag I made for you, so our two bags match):

You crocheted those, right? I'm feeling inspired!!! Of course, I first have to remember *how* to crochet. *L* I have yarn and hooks in the closet in the bedroom...

I love the bowl! What a shiny idea!

Everything but the sweater is crocheted (the sweater is knitted - it's the most complicated knit pattern I've done so far, unless you count a Christmas stocking I made years and years ago). And LOL about remembering how - just give it a try, it will come back to you easily. :) There are loads of good sites online with tutorials and patterns. Oh! And if you really decide to get into it, you MUST join Ravelry (www.ravelry.com). That is one of my all-time favorite sites ever! :)

The bowl was really easy. It's basically just a hat shape, made with 100% wool so that it shrinks and puffs up in a hot water wash. I really like the way it turned out - I'll probably make more of these for Christmas presents. :)
